One method of 0-tick chaining is to utilize the fact that tileticks such as repeaters and comparators will process in a tick before block events such as piston extensions and retractions. This link should direct you to some images of the upwards smart zero-tick piston design I used for the same farm, assuming it comes from the horizontal. I think Illmango did a video talking about different smart piston designs and some fixes to changes made and thats where I got this design. The furnace has 64 items in the top slot. 4 methods shown.

Pushing a piston, while it extends: The comparator in the middle is actually unnecessary with this precise setup. If a piston is given a zero-tick-pulse, the piston will be in a state very similar to the glitchy state, after the zero tick pulse turned off. - 0 tick sugarcane farm: no sticky pistons - This is a tutorial on how to farm pumpkins and melons, both manually and automatically. Start by placing a sticky piston, facing up, and power it with the Redstone torch. That sticky piston pushes a observer down.

Update 1.5.1: For pistons this bug is still not completely fixed because when receiving a 0 tick redstone signal from

Circuit delay: 0 ticks ("Unrepeated") or 1 tick ("Repeated") output pulse: 1 tick, 1.5 ticks if the output is a piston A dust-cut rising edge detector works by moving a block so that it cuts the output dust line after only one tick. Edit by [MCPE Mod] PHO: Sticky pistons received a 1-tick on-pulse should push a block but shouldn't pull it back. Since an observer block emits a 1-tick pulse, it should be able to cause this phenomenon. However in 0.15.0 beta build 1, sticky pistons do pull a block even when it pushed a block 1 tick before that.

How it works: When the lever turns on (t = 0 redstone ticks), the sticky piston begins to extend. At t=1, the torch turns off, but the left repeater stays

I made a follow up video going a bit more in depth and with clearer explanations.

When a piston base gets updated, while it´s either retracted and powered, or extended, unpowered and capable of pushing the blocks in front of it, then it will schedule a block Event. The block Event has a block event Id, which can be 1 or 0. Block Events with an id of 0 will from now on be called "Extension block events". Pistons are always placed facing toward the player. When powered, the piston's wooden surface (the "head") starts extending immediately in Java Edition; or either 2 game ticks (1 redstone tick; 0.1 seconds) later or immediately, depending on how it was powered, in Bedrock Edition. When it extends, it pushes at most 12 blocks.
